If you need gift ideas for your fellow entrepreneurs or still need to tell your mother-in-law what you want, I have a few suggestions. These will be value-adding presents for the small business owner. Maybe, you just want to treat yourself to one of these gifts. I won't judge, you deserve it.
CreativeLive has workshops for photographers, bloggers, and crafters. Find classes on career changing (Create Your Dream Career), blogging (Build a Successful Creative Blog), and marketing and selling your craft (How to Make a Living Selling What You Make). From each workshop page you can gift a class, which allows you to send the link of your gifted class via email at a time you schedule. You can create your own wish list, while you are there.
2. Sunday Society Subscription
Sunday Society is April's (of Blacksburg Belle) membership program. A group of inspiring entrepreneurs gather on Facebook and on calls a few times a month to encourage, assist, and hold accountable. (They were kind of enough to share their business wish list as I was writing this post.) April gives us a monthly challenge to improve our businesses that has helped me focus on and plan for the coming year. I am looking forward to seeing what this group will accomplish.
I love taking handwritten notes. A pretty notebook to jot down thoughts and make lists makes it even better. This set from one of my favorite stationery designers, Rifle Paper Co is really nice.
Now we need pens to write with. I am using Sharpie Fine Point Pens. They are available in a variety of colors (very important) and do not smear.
5. Big Wall Calendar
The Great Big Calendar from Paper Source is perfect for having your goals front and center in your office. I was introduced to this calendar by Jennifer Lee and she uses a great color-coded sticky note system for scheduling task.
6. 50mm Lens
The 50mm lens is the perfect lens for small business owners. It is great for product photography, as well as flat lays for blogging or Instagram. I am Canon girl and you can find the one I have here.
7. Vivofit 3
All of us business owners get stuck at the computer for a long time. The Vivofit 3 fitness tracker has an audible alert when you’ve sat style for too long. A big plus for me was the one-year battery life. It’s one less thing to plug in to USB charger.
Bonus gift! I have two spots remaining for Branding Through Design at a special price. This is the perfect gift for someone pursuing their dream business in 2017.
